How much does a permanent makeup refresh cost in Berlin?
A price question sounds as though it needs one number. For permanent makeup, a fair answer resembles an invoice with several lines: treatment area, existing pigmentation, required time and responsibility for a result that remains on the face for years.
At the time of publication, a regular PMU refresh at Kosmetikinstitut Expert costs 200 euros for eyebrows, 300 euros for lips and 250 euros for eyeliner. Temporary offers may be lower. The binding amount is always the current price shown on the relevant service page when booking.
First line: what is already in the skin?
An evenly faded, harmonious foundation requires a different plan from dense, discoloured or unfamiliar work. In the first case, a refresh can carefully return missing definition. In the second, simply adding colour may be the wrong treatment, regardless of how inexpensive the appointment appears.
A fair price therefore begins with an assessment. Shape, remaining tone, density, symmetry and skin condition must be considered together. If further fading, colour correction or professional lightening is required first, the starting point is different. Recognising this protects the client from a much larger correction bill later.

Microblading, Powder Brows and shading require different technical decisions.
A regular lip PMU refresh costs 300 euros and is planned for roughly 120 minutes. Natural colour, remaining contour and even saturation need time. A regular eyeliner refresh costs 250 euros and also takes around 120 minutes. A sensitive area cannot be treated like an assembly line.
A low price per minute is not a useful quality measure in PMU. What matters is enough time for sound decisions, controlled work and clear communication. Speed is valuable only when it comes from experience rather than omitted steps.
Third line: an honest no is part of the value
Good PMU expertise is not only the ability to perform treatment. It includes recognising limits. If brows are already dense, a lip contour has shifted or eyeliner is too wide, additional pigment may restrict future choices. A professional refusal prevents a supposedly cheap refresh from becoming an expensive correction journey.
Previous work from another artist introduces unknowns: which pigments were used, how deep they sit and how they changed. A serious expert does not guarantee an outcome from a phone photograph. She describes what is visible and remains cautious where information is missing.
