Permanent Eyebrow Pigmentation
Fine hair strokes or soft shading can visually fill gaps and define your eyebrows. At Kosmetikinstitut Expert in Berlin Mitte, Olga Keller provides your consultation and treatment personally. Together, you choose a technique suited to your skin, existing brows and desired look.
Powder brows use fine pigment dots applied with a machine to create a soft powder effect. A gentle colour gradient can produce an ombré look. The technique may also suit oily or more mature skin; individual suitability is assessed during consultation.
Hair strokes follow the direction of natural brow growth. If you prefer a manual technique, explore our microblading. For machine hair strokes, Olga Keller uses a pigmentation device. Skin texture and existing pigmentation help determine which approach can create clear, natural-looking lines.
Full shading defines the whole brow area for a more made-up appearance. Combination brows pair individual hair strokes with shading. Shape, colour density and transitions are planned individually; a darker result is not automatically the best choice.

| Technique | Which skin type? | Desired effect | Indicative longevity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Powder brows | Many skin types after consultation, including oily skin | Soft powder-like shading | About 1.5–2.5 years |
| Microblading | Often considered for normal to dry skin | Individual fine hair strokes | About 1.5–2 years |
| Machine hair strokes | After assessing skin texture and suitability | Machine-drawn hair strokes | About 1.5–2 years |
| Full shading / combination brows | Chosen according to skin and existing pigment | Defined contours or hair strokes with shading | Around 1.5–3 years, depending on technique |
These periods are a guide, not a guarantee. Skin type, UV exposure, aftercare and existing pigment affect the result. Residual pigment may remain visible for longer; refreshing is planned around actual fading.
Work from another studio can often be corrected, but not every existing brow tattoo can be covered successfully. Olga Keller assesses shape, colour density, tone and skin condition. A recent clear photograph helps with an initial assessment; the final plan requires an in-person consultation.
If the old pigment is too dark, poorly positioned or discoloured, lightening or removal may be needed first. Whether laser or another method such as remover is suitable must be assessed by a suitably qualified professional. Removal is not included in the price shown here; please arrange a consultation before booking new treatment over old PMU.
The images show different starting points and design possibilities. Your result is planned individually. You agree on shape and colour with Olga Keller before pigmentation; client reviews provide an additional perspective on her work.
We discuss your wishes, existing pigment and the appropriate technique. Olga Keller then maps the shape and checks proportions and symmetry with you. Pigmentation starts only after you approve the design.
Pigment is applied gradually using sterile, single-use materials. Sensitivity varies; options for easing discomfort are discussed beforehand. Olga Keller adapts the colour and intensity to your brows and explains the products used.
The colour can initially look stronger than it does after healing. You receive personalised aftercare guidance. At the included touch-up within one month, shape and pigment distribution are reviewed and adjusted where needed.
We use REACH-compliant quality pigments. Tattoo and permanent makeup inks in the EU are subject to REACH restrictions. These limit certain hazardous substances and require labelling about intended use and ingredients. They do not guarantee an absence of allergic reactions or a permanently unchanged colour. We discuss questions about pigments, your history and known allergies before treatment.
Please tell us about skin conditions, known allergies, medication, pregnancy or breastfeeding before your appointment. Treatment is postponed if skin around the brows is inflamed or injured. Health concerns may require medical advice; do not stop prescribed medication on your own.
New treatment currently costs 350 € instead of 450 €. Consultation, technique selection, brow mapping, the initial pigmentation and one touch-up within a month are included. Any extra work to correct previous treatment is assessed and priced beforehand.
Visible pigment intensity decreases over time. Depending on technique and skin, around 1.5 to 3 years is a common guide. Refreshing is planned around your actual result rather than a fixed date.
Follow your personalised aftercare instructions and do not pick at scabs. Restrictions on exercise, swimming, sauna use and sun exposure are discussed at your appointment. Once healing is complete, suitable sun protection helps protect the pigmented skin from UV exposure.
You do not need to choose a technique beforehand. Olga Keller assesses skin texture, brow growth, existing pigment and your preferred look. The comparison table is an initial guide; the decision is made during consultation.
Microblading creates manual hair strokes. Powder brows use a machine to create soft shading. Combination brows bring strokes and shading together; shading alone is not the same as drawing hairs.
Around 1.5 to 3 years is an indicative range depending on technique. Fading varies and residual pigment can last longer. A refresh is planned according to the visible result.
New treatment is currently 350 €, including consultation, brow mapping and a touch-up within one month. Extra correction work for old PMU is discussed beforehand.
Sensitivity is individual. Many clients describe scratching or pressure. We discuss the approach and options for reducing discomfort before starting.
Correction is often possible after assessing shape, colour density and skin. Very dark or discoloured pigment may need professional assessment for lightening or removal first.
We use REACH-compliant quality pigments. PMU inks are subject to EU REACH restrictions. Product choice, ingredients and known allergies should be discussed before use. REACH does not justify claims of zero traces of heavy metals or impossible colour changes.
You receive personalised instructions. Do not pick at scabs, and follow the agreed restrictions on water, exercise, sauna use and sun. Seek medical advice for concerning symptoms.
Pigmentation enhances the appearance of your brows and does not replace the hairs. Unexplained or recent hair loss should first be assessed by an appropriate professional.
Book your appointment online. If you have old PMU or questions about the technique, please discuss them with us before a new treatment.
