If you carry the herpes simplex virus (even if you rarely have outbreaks), the irritation from the needle can trigger an outbreak. This can affect the color result (pigment loss at the blister sites).

On average, a lip PMU lasts 2 to 3 years. Since the lips are highly vascularized and exposed to UV radiation, the color fades slowly and evenly. A refresh ("Color Boost") brings back the brilliance.
